Schloss Johannisberg, dating back to 817 AD, holds the distinction of being the world's first Riesling wine estate. The property's rich history began with Benedictine monks who established a monastery in 1100, and by 1720, it had transformed into a prestigious wine estate with 294,000 Riesling vines.
